Yes. All donations to Legacy Healthcare Initiatives are tax‑deductible. LHI is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and your contribution is deductible to the fullest extent allowed by U.S. law. After you give, you will automatically receive an email receipt that includes all information needed for your tax records.
If you make a recurring monthly gift, you will also receive an annual summary for your convenience.

Yes. You can change or cancel your monthly gift at any time. We understand that circumstances can shift, and we want your giving experience to remain comfortable and flexible. You can update the amount, change your payment method, or pause/cancel your monthly contribution through your donor account or by contacting our support team.
Our team is always available to help you make any adjustments quickly and securely.
We’ll tell you, and ask. If a designated program has more funding than it can responsibly deploy, we contact designated donors before redirecting anything. We’d rather have the conversation than quietly reallocate your gift.
Because need moves. An unrestricted gift lets us put money where the shortfall is sharpest that quarter; a stockout, an emergency surge, a facility whose equipment failed. Designated giving is entirely welcome and always honoured; unrestricted giving is simply the most useful thing we can be handed.
Legacy Healthcare Initiatives allocates 30% of all donations to overhead. This investment strengthens the systems that make our programs safe, accountable, and effective. Overhead covers essential functions such as financial controls, compliance, staff training, technology, and the coordination required to deliver healthcare in complex environments.
In the global health and humanitarian sector, a 20–35% overhead range is considered both responsible and sustainable. Our 30% rate reflects the real cost of operating a high‑integrity medical nonprofit while ensuring that the majority of every contribution directly supports care for mothers, families, displaced communities, and people living with disabilities.

No. We don’t sell, rent, trade or share donor information with anyone. You can ask us to delete your data at any point and we’ll confirm when it’s done. We’ll also never contact you out of the blue asking for banking details or payment to a new account. If something claiming to be from us feels wrong, call us before acting.
Yes; in certain cases. Legacy Healthcare Initiatives welcomes genuine interest in our work, and we occasionally facilitate site visits for partners, institutional donors, and stakeholders whose engagement directly supports program development. Because our programs operate in communities facing displacement, poverty, and fragile health systems, visits must be carefully planned to ensure safety, respect, and minimal disruption to care.
